"I met Tracey in November 2019 when I had a bulging disc in my lower back and had horrendous sciatica and couldn’t stand up straight, and hadn’t been able to for months. I had been off work this whole time and tried every type of physio, alternative therapy, hydro therapy, the list was endless and with no relief. I was beginning to think my career as a midwife was over and life as I had known it before was a distant memory. 

I found Tracey online and she came to my house and gave me one to one sessions, she took time to look at my MRI report and tailored a plan for me based on my symptoms and mobility.

 

She was amazing, she gave me confidence that I would get better, and even lent me equipment until I had my own so I could begin the plan straight away. Within 3 weeks I had such an improvement I was able to leave the house again and within 6 weeks I was able to get back to work and return to some normality.

 

I can’t praise Tracey enough and actually if I hadn’t met her I dread to think how life would be now. 

After doing one to one lessons I then started her group sessions weekly and have done them ever since.

 

I have a lot to thank her and Pilates for and her personal, caring approach, even now in group classes she knows what we are all capable of and gives adjustments depending on our needs.

Tracey has been my Pilates instructor since 2017.   We started with some individual lessons, which were soon followed by small group face-to-face sessions and now mainly sessions on Zoom. 

 

Tracey is a dedicated, fun and highly professional instructor.  She motivates us by offering variety in her sessions, yet always with a focus on strength, cardio and stretching. She is able to pay attention to each of us individually and correct postures when necessary in her gentle and encouraging manner. 

 

For me, she has achieved what no other Pilates teacher ever could and that is to help me strengthen my core muscles so that I can now do core crunches correctly and safely!! 

 

You could not wish for a better and more personable teacher.

We have been attending Tracey’s Pilates classes for 8 years now! Started in group sessions at the Village Hall and moved online during Covid lockdown and has successfully been maintained as a Zoom based activity since. Jo got me involved initially as I had suffered a few lower back problems, either from occupational posture, or minor lifting or cycling injuries. At one stage I was scheduled to have an operation on discs in lower back. However the posture, hip, back and core-related exercises were transformational for me. If there are any niggles, then key stretches will usually sort things out.

Jo and I are both keen cyclists and the hip opening exercises in particular are very helpful in counteracting the effects of prolonged pedalling. Jo is also very pleased with her overall flexibility and increased strength from these sessions. While I am not at Jo’s level of flex, I can also feel improvement in leg suppleness and after a missed session it is good to get back to movement of this type. 

(Recently the exercise sessions have really helped me in terms of strength and flexibility during Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy for a form of lymphoma. Psychologically this has also been very useful in terms of coping with the side effects of this treatment and it was back to the Pilates mat as soon as possible for a feeling of normality and control to return)

"I cannot recommend the Reformer sessions with Tracey highly enough. Tracey's knowledge and personalised approach to the one to one sessions, made the sessions both really enjoyable and left me feeling like I had had a deep workout. 


Not only is using the reformer good fun, but for me the benefits of a Reformer helped me understand the mat work exercises more helping me to achieve good results.

 

The sessions were tailored to my needs and level, and Tracey's ability to explain the exercises and take you through the various progressions, enables you to build your confidence and understanding of the exercises and why you are doing them. Overall, I would really recommend trying the Reformer, it is a really enjoyable form of exercise, that offers great benefits - coupled with Tracey's knowledge and ability to make you feel at ease."
